Midas: What a incredible reversal seen... Price 0.173. Still good to go?

Just yesterday, Midas staged an incredible reversal above the 0.125 level with buyers rushing in on news of huge contract wins….

Some quick targets were drawn with this price actions spotted, see what I mean below…

1st target at 0.160 has been hit quickly yesterday…

Some resistance at 0.160 were expected again but today, it seems like the resistance has gave way as well and buyers are out in full force still…

After the first target as drawn yesterday, it may be on its way to 0.195 – 0.200 where selling pressure can return again…

Some temp resistance at 0.180 for now to clear first though…

Would want to protect profits for any long positions at this juncture…

Midas: Touched our first TARGET at 0.300 today..... will this be taken out?

Volume still good as it rises to attempt a further breakout, let’s see….. now 0.295

Sent: Tuesday, December 22, 2015 3:24 PM
Subject: ************** Midas: Potential rebound play.... price 0.285
Midas has been consolidating below the 0.28 support turned resistance for more than a week and we are beginning to see some actions today with volume also increasing. It may attempt to break above the 0.300 psychological resistance which can see it recover back to 0.35. Stochastic indicators has just reversed upwards with MACD also suggesting a bullish crossover soon. Long positions can be held to ride any rebound back up with clearing of the 0.300 – 0.305 resistance where huge sellers are stacked currently. In watch list with alerts set.

From last week call, we are seeing some actions again on strong volume as it touches a new high at 0.295. Buyers seems to be out with 0.300 psychological resistance key next. MACD indicator just about to cross above the zero mark which can lead to more momentum

Midas: Are we seeing some actions as predicted?

High at 0.295 seen today on Top 20 volume… something brewing?

Sent: Thursday, October 01, 2015 11:10 AM
Subject: *********** Midas: Potential breakout play.... price 0.285
Midas has been slowly trading upwards towards its resistance at 0.285 which was originally support levels. Seems to be maintaining well above the 20 day MA line over the past 2 weeks and today we have seen some actions as it attempts a move above the 0.285 resistance level. Can expect a target to 0.30 then 0.35 if it does breakout. Clearing of 0.285 – 0.29 sellers can be a confirmation.

Breakout Seen: Midas - moving upward upon call issued yesterday! NOW 0.38

Can it head towards our target ?

Sent: Tuesday, April 14, 2015 9:15 AM
Subject: ******************** Breakout Seen: Midas - next resistance at 0.36 critical , price 0.365
Poised for more upside if it can stay above the 0.36 new support level now. As per previous call, it has indeed traded upwards and attempted a breakout above the 0.36 resistance level today on top 20 volume. There can be more upside to 0.40 then 0.425. A bullish rounding bottom pattern seen that can lead the recovery. Trading buy call with stop loss at 0.345 for now. All 3 technical indicators pointing upwards firmly and more room to go to close the gap.

Subject: ******************** Breakout Seen: Midas - next resistance at 0.36 critical , price 0.345
Midas has cleared the immediate 0.335 resistance level on top 30 volume today that has formed since Feb. This can open the way to more upside as it attempts to head to head the critical resistance at 0.36. Breaking above 0.36 will be a key positive as it closes the gap higher to 0.40 then 0.425. At current levels, have crossed above both the 20 and 100 day MA line and looks set to break above the 200 day MA line too. A bullish rounding bottom pattern seen that can lead the recovery especially if 0.36 – 0.365 sellers get out of the way. Can average up on a further breakout, Stop loss at 0.32 for now.

************** Midas: Series of Sell calls seen......... INDEED broke below 0.25 support as mentioned to clients on friday.

More downside still ? now 0.24

Sent: Friday, October 17, 2014 9:52 AM
Subject: Follow Up************** Midas: Potential Breakdown further below 0.30, now 0.29
From previous sell call, Midas did break below the 0.300 psychological support again. This can again lead to more downside to 0.27, 0.25 then 0.20. Note that 0.25 is the all time low seen Oct 2008 before it rebounded. Any breakdown will not be a good sign and can lead it to find a new low again at probably 0.200 first. STILL A CFD sell as long 0.300 remains as a resistance now. Lower buy stop loss to 0.31 now. Congrats to those who have shorted under CFD. All technical indicators still looking weak with no signs of any recovery as of now, see emails all the way down, you can see that sell calls since MAY ALREADY.

Follow Up************** Midas: Potential Breakdown further below 0.325, price 0.315 (NOW 0.295)

Has broke below 0.35 support further today on strong volume. More downside likely to 0.325 then 0.300 then 0.27. Downtrend still intact below 0.35 resistance now. CFD can still be used to ride the downside. Lower buy stop loss to 0.355 now.

Subject: Follow Up************** Midas: CFD Sell opportunity.... further breakdown of 0.400 support..... price 0.39
Following up from PREVIOUS SELL CALL, Midas has today broke the 0.400 psychological level convincingly further. SHORT POSITIONS entry from 0.385 to 0.395 can be used to further ride the downside to 0.35 as mentioned previously. Technical indicators still looking bearish at the moment with more downside likely as long as 0.400 remains as new RESISTANCE.

Note that this support at 0.425 has been holding since Jan LAST YEAR and finally we have seen a breakdown today on TOP 20 volume currently. More downside can be possible to 0.400 then 0.35. A Bearish Descending triangle spotted since Jan this year where it has been forming lower highs. 20 day MA LINE sloping downwards negatively on the breakdown too. Can consider further CFD SELL positions to ride more downside with BUY STOP loss at 0.435.   J

***************** Midas: Bullish Setup -Breakout above 0.475 seen.... (Can it be supported above now ? ) now at 0.485

Midas has broken up above the 0.475 resistance today finally on TOP 10 Volume after trading below it for more than 2 months. This resistance also coincides with the LONG Term 200 DAY MA (Dotted blue line) which can also signal a trend change upwards. Short term target to 0.50 then 0.52 first before some consolidation.
Stop loss at 0.45

Midas Holdings: Beneficiary of China’s stimulus measures
We believe Midas Holdings' weak share price performance YTD (-10.8%) has been driven by its dearth of order wins thus far. Nevertheless, Midas’ order wins can be lumpy in nature. More importantly, we believe the rail transport industry outlook remains buoyant, and this has been reinforced by recent positive measures highlighted by China’s Premier Li Keqianq during a State Council meeting. Looking ahead, we understand that Midas is targeting to win ~CNY400-500m and ~CNY500m of metro and international rail contracts this year, respectively. We are also expecting Midas to clinch CNY325-380m of high-speed railway contracts within the next two months. Reiterate BUY on Midas, with an unchanged fair value estimate of S$0.66.

********** Trading Buy: Midas. Share price: 0.51. (Can it stay above 0.500 now ? , if yes next target to 0.55 then 0.58. )

Midas has been trading below the 0.500 support turned resistance level for about 2 months since Aug 2013. Has staged a strong breakout yesterday above the critical 0.500 psychological level and today we have seen it stay above with TOP 20 volume seen still. As long as 0.500 remains as new support level, we are short term bullish with a  target at 0.55 then 0.58. Might consolidate within the 0.500 to 0.52 range before pushing higher further on momentum.
Stop loss at 0.485 for short term trades

Midas Holdings: Awaken the sleeping giant
Following last week’s CNY221.8m international train and China metro contract wins, Midas Holdings (Midas) announced last evening that it has secured contracts to supply aluminium alloy extrusion profiles and certain fabricated parts for the manufacture of high-speed trains in China. These contracts are worth CNY167.5m in total, with delivery expected from 2013 to 2014. Total YTD order wins for Midas has now hit ~CNY812.6m (FY12: CNY324.9m). We view Midas’ latest high-speed train contract success as a strong re-rating catalyst for its share price given that its last high-speed contract win came in Feb 2011. We believe this may also set the momentum for further such contract wins to come, given China’s ambition to develop its rail transport sector. Maintain BUY and S$0.65 fair value estimate on Midas, based on 1.3x blended FY13/14F P/B.

Maybank KE – 10 September 2013
Midas Holdings: The Catalyst Worth Waiting For Is Here; Buy, $0.475 - TP $0.75
Ø  Last weekend, China Railway Corp (CRC) announced the result of its first high-speed train tender in past two years. A total of 159 train sets order have been split between CSR (108 train sets) and CNR (51 train sets). We believe this is just the beginning of a new train purchase cycle by Chinese government. Remain positive on Midas. Maintain BUY with TP SGD0.75.
Ø  We expect Midas to win around RMB250-300m supply contracts in high-speed train space this year. But it is very small compared to what we are likely to see in FY14/15. We expect Midas’ order book to reach RMB1.5b in FY15 onwards.
Ø  Historically Midas’ P/B closely followed its order book, which makes us believe that currently undemanding P/B multiples deserve a re-rating if order book could be substantially boosted to RMB1b or above.

******* Possible Short term BUY signal: Midas. Share price 0.51.

Midas has been consolidating below the 0.505 resistance level for about 2 weeks only to see it break above today on pretty high volume. Currently at TOP 20 Volume. Next resistance at 0.52 level which is also the high today and where there are a lot of sellers stacked there. From the chart, we can see that it has indeed broken above the channel resistance level (Downward sloping line beginning in Jan 2013) at 0.48 about 2 weeks ago and has managed to stay above it. As long as 0.500 is a support, a rise towards 0.52 and even 0.55 seems likely. A break above 0.52 would pave the way to 0.55 which was the high set in Mar 2013.
Stop loss at 0.485.

Midas Holdings: Seeking more contract wins
Midas Holdings (Midas) recently clinched a CNY44.3m metro contract, thus bringing total YTD order wins to ~CNY423.2m. Looking ahead, Midas will continue to strive for potential new metro and international railway contract wins of ~CNY380-580m for the rest of 2013. We are buoyed by the positive news flow happening in China’s metro industry, and see Midas as a key beneficiary given its track record as a supplier to major Chinese train manufacturers. However, the time frame for new high-speed railway train car tenders by the China Railway Corporation remains uncertain, although there is optimism that it could be resumed in 3Q13. Maintain our BUY rating and S$0.54 fair value estimate on Midas, pegged to 1.1x FY13F P/B.

**** More downside possible first: Midas. Share price 0.43. (Broke support at 0.44) - CFD SHORT TRADE position opportunity

Midas has broken it support at 0.44 last week and traded below it last week failing to stay above. Currently forming a lower low at 0.43, lower than the last week low of 0.435 which can signal more sell down momemtum and weakness. As long as 0.44 stays at resistance, more downside possible to 0.400. It has also broken below the 200 DA MA (Dotted blue line) last week which can signal a change to downward trend.  Next critical psychological support at 0.400, can see it go lower if this does not hold still, possible to 0.35 level which was supported in Nov last year.
Buy stop at 0.45 for any short term “CFD Short positions”

***** Monitor Closely: Midas. Share price 0.445. ( Possible breakdown of support)

Midas has tested the 0.44 support just now and went below it briefly. Low today was 0.435. if the 0.44 support breaks down on strong volume and sellers throw down at 0.435, 0.43, short term downside can be possible to 0.400 level. A break below 0.40 level can see it go towards 0.35 level. Do nothing if it holds above 0.44 support, short only if it 0.44 breaks down. Note that it has just broken below the 200 DAY MA (Dotted blue line) yesterday which can also signal weakness and reversal in trend.
Buy stop for short positions on breakdown is 0.465.

Tading Buy: Midas. Share price 0.535.

Midas has broken above the 0.53 resistance, now at 0.535. Has been consolidating below for more than a month. Tested a total of 4 times and finally crossed above today. Short term target to 0.58 possible.
As long as 0.53 remains as the new support, we are bullish. A break above 0.58 can pave the way to test 0.600 quickly.
Stop loss at 0.52.

Thursday, January 24, 2013

Trading Buy: Midas. Price now 0.55. Testing 0.55 level currently.

Watch the break out of Midas. Volume rising very rapidly as it tests the 0.55 level. Has been trading from 0.500 to 0.55 level for about 2 weeks consolidation. A recap of the earlier call which we had made on the 10th Jan 2013 for the breakout above 0.500…. Since then has been consolidating within the 5 cent range above the new support at 0.500.

As long as 0.55 now remains as the new support, upside to test 0.600 is possible. A break above 0.600 would open the way to 0.66 to 0.70 level.

Put a stop at 0.525.

Thursday, January 10, 2013

Trading Buy: Midas. Share price 0.505.

Midas has break above the critical 0.500 resistance level. Has been below this level since Aug 2011 for more than a year. Currently at 0.505. As long as 0.500 remains the new resistance turned support, upside to 0.600 seems possible in the near term. A break above 0.600 could pave the way to find a higher resistance at 0.72

Put a stop at 0.475 nevertheless.
